Bombay High Court granted bail to Rhea Chakraborty




The Bombay High Court has granted bail to Rhea Chakraborty in the drugs case which came to light in the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Let me tell you that on Tuesday, the court had ruled to keep Rhea and her brother Shovik in judicial custody for 14 days, but according to sources, Rhea has been granted bail by the Bombay High Court. While hearing Rhea Chakraborty’s plea in this case, the Bombay High Court has granted bail to only one petitioner, Rhea. No one has been granted bail at present in the drugs case. The bail pleas of Shovik Chakraborty, Abdul Basit Parihar and others in the drugs case have been dismissed by the court. The court proceedings started at 11 am and the court gave its verdict immediately.

Justice Sarang V. Kotwal ruled through video conferencing. Earlier on September 29, the court reserved its verdict after hearing the case and on Tuesday the NPDS court extended the 14 day judicial custody of Rhea Chakraborty, Shovik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, Deepesh Sawant, Abdul Basit Parihar and Zaid till 20 October.

Let me tell you that Deepesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda have also been granted bail by the court no other drug peddler along with Shovik Chakraborty has been granted bail, he will remain in judicial custody till 20 October.

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested Rhea Chakraborty on 9 September and Rhea was lodged in Mumbai’s Bhaykhala jail for almost 1 month. During hearing on bail, NCB strongly opposed bail and all other people, and the court said that Rhea not only used drugs to Sushant Singh Rajput but was also involved in trafficking and financial illegal drugs. The court has granted bail by imposing a fine of one lakh on Rhea and will have to submit one lakh rupees in 4 weeks. The court has also said that they will submit their passports to the court and cannot go outside without the permission of the police, if they have to go somewhere, they must first get permission from the court.

The Judicial Custody of Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Shovik Chakraborty, arrested in a drug case related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, has been extended till October 20 by a special court in Mumbai. Rhea and Shovik Chakraborty were produced in a special NPDS court on Tuesday after the 14 day judicial custody ended. The court on Tuesday extended the judicial custody of Rhea, Shovik Chakraborty and others for 14 days. Rhea Chakraborty and Shovik Chakraborty filed for bail in the High Court, the last debate on which was held in the high court of justice S.V. Kotwal on 29 September. The court reserved its verdict on the bail plea.
